UNESCO's first Birthday and European Music Festival: Appointments in Monferrato from 19th to 21st June

The programme for the  weekend from 19th to 21st June in Monferrato has got a very rich schedule to celebrate the first year of the UNESCO site: “I Paesaggi Vitivinicoli del Piemonte: Langhe-Roero e Monferrato” ( wine landscapes in Piedmont : Langhe-Roero and Monferrato).


 

Plenty of events through the weekend will be offered in villages and towns, from Casale to the hills, coincinding with the "European Music Festival"

 


Exhibitions, shows, wine&food tasting, music and visits to the "infernot" ( the most genuine characteristic of Monferrato) will certainly appeal to the most varied visitors


 

It will start on Friday 19th June in the afternoon with the opening of the Photo Exhibition : "UNESCO European  Wine Landscape"  followed by  Stupujtime, Grignolino wine tasting  at the Monferrato Wine Bar, and music with "Quattromani Piano Ensemble, Non Solo Sax, Sul Palco"

 

Saturday 20th , from  morning to early evening, Stupujtime with wine tasting in the town centre with typical menus offered by bars and restaurants . All  day long, more music events .

In the evening, in the Castle courtyard,  a "Fire and Music" show with "La Compagnia dei Folli"


 

Sunday 21st : in the surrounding villages of Camagna, Cella Monte, Frassinello, Olivola, Ottiglio, Ozzano, Rosignano, Sala e Vignale Monferrato (UNESCO core zone) and of Casorzo, Fubine, Grazzano Badoglio e Terruggia (UNESCO  buffer zone) the "Infernot" will be opened from 10 to 12 a.m. and from 2.30 p.m. To 18,30  with guided tours.
